DBT & Mindfulness Professional Event (CEUs)

Integrating new techniques to improve client outcomes

NOW House Mindful Awareness Center and Irias Psychotherapy & Consulting Services invite you to a Continuing Education event about Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness. This presentation will provide attendees with an understanding about how DBT defines and uses mindfulness skills in treatment, and will give clinicians the opportunity to learn the core mindfulness skills in DBT. This presentation will provide attendees with information and skills about effective mindfulness-based care, as well as an in-vivo mindfulness practice that clinicians can integrate both in their client-based work and their personal lives.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe DBT and its four modules
  • Learn a practical working definition of mindfulness
  • Learn how mindfulness is an essential skill for the other three DBT modules
  • List three ways in which meditation helps develop mindfulness
