Rick is a Trained Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA. He is also certified to teach youth via MindfulSchools.org curriculum. Rick is also a member of the International Mindfulness Teacher Association.
He started Mindfulness Meditation practice in 2006 to reduce stress and improve his health. Rick quickly discovered positive changes from his practice and wanted to share it with others. He has shared Mindfulness with adults and high school students and has a long history of giving back to others, including being a fundraiser and volunteer high school and elementary school teacher for two charitable organizations. Forever a student of life, Rick has 2 Bachelor degrees; one in Economics and the other in Political Science. He is also the proud father of 3 children.
UCLA MARC Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Class refunds requested two weeks or more before the class start date will be assessed a $25 administrative fee. We regret that we cannot give refunds after this date. Refunds should be requested by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Credit towards a future class will be provided if a registrant notifies us prior to 5pm Friday during the first week of class. Credit must be requested by email (email@example.com) and used by the next class series (i.e. cancellations in the July/Aug series must be used in the the Sept/Oct series).
MARC reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Registrants will be notified in advance of the class.
No refunds or credits are given to registrant "no-shows".
Postponing a Class: Credit towards a future class will be provided if a registrant notifies us by email prior to 5PM on Friday of the first week of the class series. The future class must be taken immediately following the missed class series. NO EXCEPTIONS (for example: if postponing a May/June class series you will have to use your credit and enroll in the July/August class series).
Make-up Class: If you miss a class, you may make up ONE class in any other class at your level during the current series or the series immediately following. In-person classes only. No refund or prorate will be issued for missed classes.
